TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Muskoka Lakes proposes to enact a by-law pursuant to Sections 9 and 35 of the Municipal Act, 2001 to close and sell that part of the original shore road allowance in front of Lot 6, Concession 6, former Township of Watt, now Township of Muskoka Lakes, District Municipality of Muskoka, designated as Part 1 on Plan 35R-26129.

MUSKOKA LAKES – The Township of Muskoka Lakes has closed the Windermere Beach and all dock slips east of the Windermere pavilion until further notice due to a small fuel spill from a sunken vessel. Public docking remains available on the west side of the pavilion.

The Township of Muskoka Lakes has been notified by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit that a swimming advisory has been issued for Hanna Park Beach.
During a swimming advisory, the beach is posted with warning signs that the most recent water samples showed bacteria in numbers that may increase your risk of developing minor skin, eye, ear, nose or throat infections or stomach illness. If you choose to swim during a swimming advisory avoid dunking your head or swallowing the water.
